This was a simply stunning wood floor that Acacia restored and finished with an old English hardwax oil. Many types of wood in this beautiful house required different techniques to bring them to their best. The end results were amongst some of our best.
This project for Acacia was a full ground floor covering over 100 m2 of engineered oak sanded back and treated with a classic oak primer. Traffic HD applied using the roller method creating a beautiful smooth finish. Thank you to Marc from Harrogate for using Acacia.
This Acacia project was a Tumble block herringbone floor. We deep cleaned then hand applicated a barley hard wax oil before being machine polished to produce a beautiful look to this oiled floor.
This project was a solid oak floor in need of a full restoration. This was one of our largest projects at a 100m2, which was done over 3 days. Acacia used Bona products throughout this job, and the results were fantastic. Big thanks to Bess from Scarcroft in Leeds for using us.
This project for Acacia was a parquet floor that required our attention to bring it back to its best. Loose blocks that needed securing before sanding and filling all the gaps. With summer arriving this project took us outside to some decking requiring a full sanding down and re-oiling. This was part of an area that was 120m2 of oak flooring spread across 4 rooms. Consisting of both herringbone and plank. We used Bona classic oak followed with a Bona traffic HD in matt. This job for Acacia was a full restoration project at Woodhouse Grove school in Bradford. Wood replacement and repairs due to severe damage. Sanded to a super smooth finish and all gaps filled before having a final sand. Bona intense primer and 4 coats of Bona traffic HD was used to give the perfect finish. This project for Acacia was to sand and lacquer a large bungalow property in Eldwick. It was perfectly finished with Bona natural & Bona traffic HD satin matt. Quite a spacious area at 40m2, but the finished results were fantastic.
We here at Acacia were asked by the Ripon cathedral to restore a 200 year old oak floor of the Deans residence. After 4 days of hard work we restored the floor using Bona products and machinery. Acacia would like to thank The dean and the staff of Ripon cathedral for allowing us to bring this floor back to its best.

This project in a delightful property (with some wonderful memorabilia!) was a mahogany herringbone style floor of 93m2 which we first sanded and then all gaps were filled with sawdust and a resin mix. We then applied a Bona intense primer followed by 3 coats of bona Matt lacquer.
This project for Acacia was a Solid oak floor sanded and sealed using bona products. Bona products are 99% dust free, thanks to improved suction technology.
This oak floor in Guiseley was in a poor state from a previous restoration project. It took 3 days to strip back including the staircase. We applied a bona amber coloured primer followed by 3 coats of bona traffic HD. Hard work and quality products provide a fantastic finish every time.
This project for Acacia was a beautiful herringbone floor in Harrogate. Which we cleaned and polished using a bona hard wax oil. We recommend an application of oil every 12 months to keep your floor protected.

This project for Acacia was a slightly damaged and worn herringbone oak floor. We lightly sanded it to remove any imperfections and some paint splash. We then deep cleaned it and applied a Bona matt hard wax oil, followed by a machine polish. The results are outstanding!
This project for Acacia was a badly worn mahogany floor in Roundhay, Leeds. Using Bona machinery and products we revitalized the floor and brought it back to life, and the owner was delighted with the result.
Acacia were approached by Amanda to see if we could restore her solid oak floor. We rose to the challenge and over 2 days we worked hard to get the perfect finish. There were holes where the knots had come away so we used a sawdust and resin mixture to fill them. We then sand a final time before applying a Bona classic Primer followed by 2 coats of traffic HD lacquer. The results were fantastic as you can see below.
This project for Acacia was a little closer to home in Pool in Wharfedale. It was 48m2 of engineered British oak. We undertook the sanding process 3 times to 120 grade, then we used Bona classic primer to seal the wood. We then applied a bona matt clear lacquer twice with a de-nib in between each coat to the beautiful smooth finish you can see the images below.
This project for Acacia was a lovely property in Harrogate. They required us to give a deep clean to their old English oak floor & staircase. We then gave it 2 coats of hard wax oil, followed by a machine polish. The results were outstanding.
This project was a white oak floor in Bradford that required sanding and treating with Bona intense primer. We applied a Bona traffic HD lacquer in Matt to protect the floor from family pets and high traffic areas. We carried out this in one day as the customer was short of time as new furniture was due to arrive the next day.

This project was a light sand of this engineered wood floor. We then applied a light primer before adding 2 coats of Bona mega lacquer. Thank you to Laura for choosing acacia.
This project was a tired mahogany herringbone floor. We sanded it then all gaps were filled with a resin and sawdust procedure. We then lightened and sealed it with bona traffic HD.
This project required us to tap down some nails that were just above the surface. Once we did that we then sanded the 45m2 of pine floor. We then applied Bona intense, before finally adding 2 coats of Bona Traffic HD lacquer.
This particular project in Yeadon was restoring a floor after some severe water damage. The damage had created some stains which we sanded in order to remove. We then used a Bona intense primer and then followed that with a Bona lacquer. All signs of the water damage were then gone.
This project for Acacia was a British oak floor. We sanded it and then applied Bona natural primer. We then finished with a Bona clear matt lacquer. This particular project was for Amy in Barwick-in-Helmet, so a big thanks to her. She was delighted with the outcome of the restoration work.
Whilst maintaining Social distancing protocols we undertook this project. It was a Pine floor that needed a stain and lacquer. So we applied a Bona intense primer and Bona mega Matt lacquer.
March 2020. This project was unique as it was rectifying issues caused by poor restoration projects after installation. This floor is 55m2 of reclaimed oak herringbone. After sanding we then used resin sawdust mix to fill the gaps. Then we 'de-nibbed' the wood to give it a glass like finish, perfectly topping it off by applying 2 coats of Bona matt lacquer. Acacia didnt just restore this floor we saved it!
The great start to 2020 continues with this herringbone floor in Harrogate needing a lot of treatment. This was a large project of around 90m2. We began with sanding all the gaps and then filling them with a mixture of sawdust and resin. We then used a Bona Flexisand to give it a nice smooth finish. Once that was completed we then applied 2 coats of Bona intense primer and then 2 coats of Bona mega satin lacquer. The pictures below show the transformation that took place over 3 days.
This project was for a commercial property in Harrogate. This Old English Oak floor had oil applied and then given a good polish. This particular floor is to be treated twice a year to keep it looking vibrant, as all wood floors should be.
Below we have some great pictures of a before, during and after of our 2nd project of 2020... This is 22m squared of Oak Hardwood flooring. It was initially sanded, and then we applied a Bona intense water based primer. We then applied 3 coats of Bona Matt clear lacquer. This particular property in Pontefract is currently being renovated, and we had 2 days to complete the work... The results were fantastic (and done on time!)

This wood floor in Harrogate was given the best possible start to 2020, with a full sanding then Bona gap filler was applied. We then also applied Bona natural primer and Bona Matt Lacquer to great effect.
The pictures below are of a lovely cottage in Pateley Bridge. 2 floors were sanded back and then hard dark stain applied. We then proceeded to apply the Bona satin lacquer to really restore the floor and give it a new feel. The final results are fantastic.
The images below are from a recent project in Wakefield. The is a pine floor that was in need of restoration and treatment. The floor was stained and also had bitumen in parts which was difficult to remove, as well as numerous repairs that needed addressing. With a lot of hard work we managed to restore the floor back to its former best. We applied primer and a Bona HD lacquer which will keep the floor looking great for years to come.

The images below are during and after the process of restoration and repair. Using a Bona oil roller we applied 2 coats of Bona hard wax, which took 2 days. We then completed the job with a machine buff and application of maintenance oil. The resulting effect was fantastic with the floor returned to an almost new condition.

The pictures below show the Pine herringbone floor before we began the restoration process. This project was 4 rooms totalling 58m2 including a pine herringbone floor.. 1 room was in a bad way and had floor boards replaced with reclaimed wood. Sanded and all gaps filled before 1 coat of natural primer by Bona the 2 coats of Bona mega clear Matt lacquer.
This project was the application of Bona floor polish on to a pre-lacquered Panaget wood floor. With outstanding results.
We recently completed this project in Ramsbottom, Bury. This was an engineered wood floor that was sanded and primer with Bona amber to create a warm intense feel before applying 2 coats of Bona mega lacquer in Matt.
This project was in Knaresborough, N Yorks. This is a solid oak floor sanded with a Bona belt sander and a Bona edge sander. The terrific finish was achieved by applying 1 coat of Bona amber primer and 3 coats of Bona Traffic HD in a matt finish. The results were excellent.
Acacia project in August 2019. This delightful but old wood floor was perfectly restored with a light sanding, following a deep clean. We then applied a traditional hard wax oil followed by a machine polish producing a perfect finish.
This project in July 2019 was Barley hard wax maintenance oil been applied to herringbone hardwood floor by hand before being machine buffed.
